Off Duty With Private Presley from MRS celebrates the 50th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s discharge from the army in 1960. This book / CD set is in the same format, only even better than, the Tupelo Welcomes Home Elvis Presley set. King Creole, The Music (book + CD, Aug 8 2010) is a 200-page book with images exclusively designed to complement the music from the film. It consists of two main sections; the recording sessions on January 16, 1958 and song scenes from the filming of the movie (including behind-the scenes shots). The images are classic and well-known shots with the majority being previously unpublished and taken by the original still photographers on the set (no freeze-frames). FTD will release the soundboard of the November 10, 1971 Boston Garden Show (no official title, 5" CD, Sep 14 2010) as this is the only available show from the early tours of the seventies. We believe that this is of such historical importance, that it should be available to everyone. This will be a 5" digipack with a photo booklet. On the same date, FTD will also release a 2-CD set of Elvis: Fool (2CD 7" CD, Sep 14 2010) in the Classic Album series. This will feature a 7" digi-pack with an 8-page booklet. Both are due out September 14.

Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD. Digipack with a 16 page booklet. Never before have we seen an Elvis concert from the 50's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered Unreleased Film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don’t Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever. This is an excellent release no fan should be without it. The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents is well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying: Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Sincerely, this is the hottest Presley material I've ever seen. There are several complete songs (Heartbreak Hotel, Long Tall Sally, I Was The One, Don't Be Cruel …) but even the snippets, bits and pieces of I Got A Woman or Hound Dog are fun. The evening show and 1957 footages are nice extras to complete it all, just like the audio section with both 1956 shows and an outstanding interview from 1957.
